Rachel's Mom, Cynthia Walker

How do you thank the women who not only gave you life but did and still does everything in her power to protect your life?

I am aware of all the things you have done and yet I am amazed at your unwavering strength and love. Even at times when I was selfish and too ignorant to really understand how deep your wisdom was and is. I am humbled at all that you have endured in your life and I am still in awe of how you managed to do it all.

Even now, you continue to protect, push, challenge and nurture me. You are an amazing wife, mother, sister and friend. You don’t hear it as often as you should, but if there is any doubt in your mind, allow me put it to rest. You are truly an inspiration and a blessing. I will continue to work everyday to make you proud.

Grandma,

Even though Alzheimer’s affects your memory of me, I know that I am someone who you loved during your life and your love is still with me. At 92 years old, you are still a sassy, witty and smart matriarch and I am so proud to be your granddaughter.

Love, Always,
Rachel

To all the wonderful mothers of the world,

Thank you for laying the foundation and molding current and future generations. The world acknowledges you on this day but your impact is far greater than any one holiday and it can never be measured on any scale. We respect and love you all.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
