THE MAKING OF “FALLING”

On set at the "Falling" Video Shoot

On set at the "Falling" Video Shoot

Dear Family, Friends, Fans and Supporters!

“Walk With Me” has been doing well and I am continuing to promote the project. I have been performing, writing, producing, and recording new music and developing myself as an artist over the past few months. The journey has not been easy. I have had some serious ups and downs in the process, but it has all lead to a deeper drive, focus and determination. They say sometimes that life gets in the way. I’m learning each an everyday that through the personal and business challenges that I have experienced this year, that life is simply “LEADING the way.”

I am entering a new phase in my creative journey and continuing to press on. I am preparing to release a new single I call “Falling.” This song is very special to me because it symbolizes the very essence and simplicity of falling in love. It is an organic, soulful and romantic tune that simply makes you feel good. I will be officially releasing it as a single in early September, but I wanted to give you a very personal glimpse into the process of making the video. I am also excited to share that I have collaborated on a remix version of the song with an extremely talented poet by the name of Tshombe Sekou who has blessed the track with thought provoking and profound lyrics. You will be hearing more about the making of the song, my collaboration with Tshombe Sekou and the official video release in the weeks to come.

The journey is not over. I invite you to “Walk With Me”“I promise you’ll enjoy.”

-Bless, Always, Rae.

Budweiser “Battle For The Crown” Showcase Recap

Rae w/ Friends & Supporters

Wednesday, July 28th was an incredible night. I performed on the SOBs stage with 10 talented artists selected for the Busweiser “Battle For The Crown” Contest. The Event was a chance for one lucky artist to win the opportunity to open up The Budweiser SuperFest with some of the most talented Artists in the business. On Monday afternoon, when I got the call  that I had been chosen, I was so excited and honored. It didn’t even matter to me what happened in the end.

I got up there and did my thing. Even though I didn’t win the crown, I felt like a queen for being among such incredible talent. For me, it was all about the experience. I had so much fun and look forward to many more opportunities to get out there and share my music.
